We are back home now.... We ranked our favorite
trip memories, and Sante was at the top of both of our lists. Glad we
found you! On a message board about shore excursions
with the Norwegian Sun, someone mentioned they had booked a day at the
Spa with you, and that "Angela is the best!" I have heard wonderful things about your
day spa! My husband and I will be visiting Roatan by cruise ship. We are
hoping you have room for two....I need to be pampered! Angela, we just got back from a Splendour cruise that stopped in Roatan and we were lucky enough to have heard about a little place that offered massages and other things - The treatment and services we received were tremendous. Angela picked us up right at the ship and while en route to her facilities, near the middle of the island, we got a verbal history of the island. While my wife received her massage and facial, Angela's husband took me snorkeling at two different sites - one in a small cove, the other at the reef. It was my first time snorkeling and with his guidance he got me comfortable in the water immediately. I spent close to two hours and am anxious to get back to the water. After Angela finished my wife and I got back, they had lunch waiting for us - fresh catch of the day. Afterwards, it was my turn and I got the royal treatment; with a massage with salt glo and mud wrap. Again, another first for me and the experience couldn't have been any better. On
the way back to the ship, Angela gave us some shopping tips and then stopped at
the Las Palmas shopping area. We found everything we needed and were back on board
in plenty of time. In terms of cost, this was the best bargain of the whole trip.
For the whole day, everything (transportation, lunch, two massages, facial, salt
rub, mud wrap, snorkeling) came in at only $226 - a real bargain when compared
to the costs of spa treatments onboard the ship. I just wanted to write you to say how
wonderful the day was at your spa. It was an oasis of calm on a tropical Isle.
The friends who spent the day with me said that it was the highlight of their
cruise, the snorkeling was the best they have ever encountered, and lunch was
exquisite. The facial that I received was the best I have ever had, and a massage/mud
wrap second to none. I am already looking at returning to your spa for a hot stone
massage and another facial. I am telling everyone that I can to make there way
to your spa for a truly wonderful experience.
Angela, Lynn and Mary enjoyed a wonderful day at the Sante' Wellness Centre Day
Spa! Their skin and muscles were revitalized along with their spirit while they
thoroughly enjoyed a relaxed day! Mary relished the lobster lunch while Lynn enjoyed
the refreshing drinks! At dinner that evening, Mark and I experienced a difficult
time sharing our diving stories of the day! The ladies were totally convinced
that their day at the spa would top our day of diving in Roatan! How could that
be? Mark and I conceded, as the ladies were very relaxed and refreshed from the
spa visit, while the guy's looked slightly tired from the day's wear of diving!
On the behalf of the ladies, take care and know that Lynn and Mary enjoyed a wonderful
day at your spa!
I had a fabulous time at your spa. The hospitality was exceptional, the facilities
immaculate, service was fabulous and the snorkeling was the best I'd ever seen.
While being 3 months pregnant, I had a very relaxing massage and it really made
a tremendous difference. The therapist did a great job. She was the best! Your
reef looked the most healthy I'd ever seen so close to shore.... Thanks for the
great day. Take care. | |||
Conde Nast TravelerWashington Post Hot Spots 2004: International Here are our choices for 10 hot international destinations in the new year. .... Honduras - Why go: First Belize was on everyone's Central American radar screen, then Costa Rica became the eco-tourist's darling. Now Honduras, with untouched rain forests, mountains and 400 miles of Caribbean coastline, is starting to get its due. The details: Adventure seekers go to Honduras -- tucked between Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua -- to scuba dive or fish around the Bay Islands off the northern coast, to explore Pico Bonito National Park or to see the Mayan ruins of Copan, one of the top archaeological sites in Central America. Visitors marvel at the bird-watching and cloud forests of two seldom-visited national parks (La Muralla and Sierra de Agalta in the eastern part of the country) or the uninhabited tropical rain forests of the Mosquito Coast and the Rio Platano Biosphere Reserve, where about 80 percent of Honduras's species are protected. One word of caution: Street smarts are needed throughout the country. Where to stay: The Bay Islands and wildlife such as jaguars and monkeys can be seen from the inland observation towers at the Lodge at Pico Bonito (888-428-0221; from $155), the nation's first eco-lodge. If you want to call the Bay Islands home for a few days, consider the town [sic] of Roatan, where the B&B at the Sante Wellness Center day spa (1 510 455-4232; $95) is on the beach.
